2006 Scholarship Recipients
SPE is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2005 Freestyle Crystal
Apple Award and ten SPE Student Awards. We received great applications.
Thank you to everybody who applied. Special thanks go to Freestyle for their generous donation to fund the Freestyle Crystal Apple Award.
Special thanks also to Eastman Kodak for offering an
exciting product grant for recipients of the SPE Student Awards.And
thank you to the many people and companies who contributed to the SPE
Scholarship Fund. Your cash and product donations, your raffle tickets
and purchases at the silent auction make the student awards possible.
The recipient of the Crystal Apple Award is Curtis Mann, a graduate student from Columbia College Chicago. The Crystal Apple Award is sponsored by Freestyle Photographic Supplies. The newly established Jeannie Pearce Award has been awarded to Wilfred "Jay" Gould, a graduate student at Savannah College of Art and Design. The recipients of the SPE Student Awards are: Christine Chin (graduate student, University of New Mexico), Jessica Cook (graduate student, University of North Texas), Jess T. Dugan (undergraduate student, Massachusetts College of Art), Wei Meng Foo (graduate student, Arizona State University), Morgan Konn (graduate student, San Jose State University), Zachary Mazur (graduate student, Washington State University), Lindsay Page (graduate student, School of the Art Institute of Chicago), Masumi Shibata (graduate student, University of New Mexico), Sarah Sudhoff (graduate student, Parsons School of Design), and Yvette Yeh (graduate student, Parsons School of Design).
