Virginia Morrison
Executive Director
Virginia Morrison graduated from Macalester College, cum laude, in 1980, with a dual major in studio art and art history.
She has also completed graduate coursework in psychology at Case Western Reserve University. She has held positions in the
Cleveland, Ohio, area that reflect her passion for art and her talent for management. In the 1980's and early 1990's, Virginia
served as gallery director of the American Crafts Gallery, worked as an award-winning teacher of photography and art at Hawken
School, and as an art sales consultant for the Bonfoey Company. In 1987, she joined the Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) as
Director of Career Services. Virginia moved to Case Western Reserve University's School of Medicine in 1993 and has worked for
Medical Student Affairs, the department of pharmacology and most recently for the Master of Public Health (MPH) program, where for
the past seven years she served as the Administrative Director. vmorrison@spenational.org
Kelly
O'Malley
Exhibits Fair Coordinator, Administrative Assistant
Kelly O'Malley received her BA in 2002 from Miami University’s Western College Program (The School of
Interdisciplinary Studies) with a concentration in photography. She has been with SPE since 2002 as Administrative Assistant
and in 2005 took on the role of Exhibits Fair Coordinator. She has taught photography at Miami University and has earned two
national gold titles as part of Miami University’s synchronized figure skating team. She currently resides near
Burlington, Vermont, and enjoys breathing clean air on a daily basis. speoffice@spenational.org
Amanda
Warren
Bookkeeper/Office Manager
Amanda graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2000, cum laude, with a degree in Fine Arts. While living in New York,
she was awarded opportunities to exhibit in school art shows as well as the Art Show at Le Bar Bat in September 1999.
She combines her artistic talents with skills in bookkeeping and office organization. She has served as an Executive Assistant and Sales
Consultant in several settings and most notably has experience with bookkeeping, trade shows, publications and many activities that are part
of SPE initiatives for which she will provide support and guidance. Amanda will also serve in the role of liaison to the regional SPE
chapters. Moving back into the Cleveland area recently, she is working on trying to re-establish herself into the local art scene.

Ashley
Peel Pinkham
National Conference Planner
Ashley Peel Pinkham received her BFA in Photography from The University of the Arts and is currently the Assistant Director
at The Print Center in Philadelphia. Previously, she has worked with over 90 printmakers and photographers from around
the world as The Print Center Gallery Store Manager. She has volunteered for numerous organizations including The
Photo Review, Philagrafika and PhotoSession. In 2002 she was an invited artist-in-residence with the Girl Scouts of
Southeastern Pennsylvania in a collaborative project entitled Body Image: A Photo Documentary. She was invited
by The Center for Emerging Visual Artists to guest curate a photography exhibition in 2003 entitled Self-Centered and
has juried exhibitions for Chester County Arts Association and the First Person Arts Festival in Philadelphia. Ms. Peel
Pinkham is formerly the Co-Executive Director for the Philadelphia Center for the Photographic Image and now resides on its
Advisory Board. Ms. Peel Pinkham is currently the National Conference Planner for the Society for Photographic Education.

Meghan Borato
Membership Coordinator
Meghan Borato graduated from John Carroll University in 2005 with a BA in Art History. Having moved away from Cleveland after
graduation to pursue a career in arts administration, Meghan worked as Assistant Director of the Orleans Street Gallery and as
Studio Assistant for K-Gal Studio, Inc. in Chicago. Meghan is enthusiastic about contributing to the Cleveland arts community and
has volunteered at local galleries as well as the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland. Meghan can be seen regularly chumming
around with her dog Matilde. membership@spenational.org
Nina Barcellona
Advertising & Publications Coordinator
Nina graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2006 with a BFA degree in Film, Video and Photographic arts. Using both
digital and film photography, she works in many areas including editorial, portrait and fashion photography. Nina has exhibited at
the Cleveland Institute of Art, Spaces and the FAVA Gallery, and was included in the Cleveland Museum of Art's Neo Show. In addition
to photography skills, Nina brings strong graphics, sales and writing talents to SPE.
As a student member of the Society for Photographic Education for three years, Nina attended both regional and national conferences.
Nina enjoys being a part of an organization that encourages the creative expression of an art form that she is truly passionate about.

Carla Williams
exposure Editor & Web Editor
Carla Williams is an independent writer, editor, and photographer.
She is co-author with Deborah Willis of The Black Female Body: A
Photographic History (2002), and co-author of Photography from
1839 to Today, George Eastman House (1999). Her images and writing
